Happy Easter.

I hope you had a nice Easter - when I was working the holiday always ended far too soon.

We'd planned a weekend of music but I ran out of energy after Friday night and couldn't go out anymore.

We did have Hot cross Buns!

And we drove towards Staines and walked (dangerously) alongside the busy Staines By-pass to catch a look at some of the lambs;

The shepherds rent the land around one of the reservoirs - it really is urban farming!

They were very camera shy!

We had an Easter basket too;

I would have liked to do a lot more interesting stuff because it's been a real struggle to make it to spring but we did have a job to do on Saturday morning!

Spring lambs.

 

These pictures come from one of our local reservoirs. The land is rented out to a ‘farmer’ who buys in sheep from farms on the high hills and they come here thin and worn out after a tough winter to be fattened up.

In spring, they come here for lambing.

Here’s a spring lamb for you;

OK, it’s time I came clean – when you run a small Blog like this you can’t be choosy about who helps you. I kept promising that there would be a Jazz Review for Monday night and now we are also missing Wednesday nights review as well.

I can’t hide it any longer – our Jazz correspondent, normally a studious, elderly man in a tweed jacket, used to be very reliable. Then he spent Saturday night watching The Reggulaters and disappeared afterwards.

Three days later we found him lying face down in the office stationary cupboard surrounded by several empty Jagermeister bottles and some unopened cans of Red Bull.

He kept muttering something about ‘Selfies’ and a ‘tie’. We have no idea what he was talking about.

We’ve sent him off to the Priory Clinic to dry out and as part of his 12 step programme he’s promised to do the reviews by tomorrow.
