Ennui, sigh.

Bored, listless, nothing to do?

A certain ennui filling your life?

Feeling jaded, unfulfilled?

Take a sophisticated stroll through the archive – that’s the list on the right hand side of this Blog, underneath popular posts.

‘This month’ has a list of recent pages, but if you click on an older month, you’ll get a whole load of stuff you never saw before.

There are periods when I’ve been fairly well, feeling good, messing about, trying out new things, like December 2012. I started the Bad Poets Society (membership one) wrote bad poems, did cartoons. Like 'The Ankle Rankle';

I’ve got a problem

and it’s really starting to rankle.

You see, I hurt my leg

in fact, I broke my ankle.

The problem was my mistake

Oh what would that be?

The ambulance took my break

to St. Peter’s A and E.

Because instead of trying

to fix it there and then.

Some idiot, what was he was doing?

Sent me home again.

You can mess up a finger

You can bugger up a wrist

but only a consultant at St. Peter’s

would think a break was a twist.

I got serious in January 2013, wrote a series of articles about the NHS, which is what this Blog is really about.

January and February I wasn’t so well and was fighting back– you can see that in the Blog entries too – it all gets tougher around Mid Staffs and the report about patient abuse there and elsewhere.

March was really hard. My activity promoting the Blog got lost in the struggles of everyday life. I discovered an academic study into the benefits/costs of merging hospitals. It is really important and no one cares. So, I wrote a long series of Blogs (Merger Mania – take a look) going on and on about it.

Serious stuff, important to me and I felt more people should see it. That had the effect of driving most of my readers away.

Am I bothered?

No, no regrets about that.

Anyway, why not take a look?
