Set the controls for the heart of the sun.

Here's a few pictures from Charing Cross Hospitals Radiotherapy department, which is fairly space age.

The main problem is that the facilities are so over booked that everybody ends up waiting about an hour and a half past their appointment times.

This is the waiting room you get to when you've done waiting in the proper waiting room.

Gulp!

This is the instrument of torture; I have to lie on the bench with my head clamped to the headrest. It then gets raised up to the height of the top of the device and various panels move round to surround me.

It hurts!

This is one of the control panels - set the controls for the heart of the sun!

I've now completed the fourth of my five sessions, I'm back on Monday for the last.

Meanwhile my car has been failing faster than my back and it looks like we'll be travelling by public transport.....that's going to be fun.
