Derbyshire Fire Service.

More respect due – to Derbyshire Fire Service many miles from home and here to help us out;

And to the congregation of the Baptist Church (not somewhere you will ever find me) who are providing the catering for tired volunteers and emergency workers at the Flood centre;

It was strange walking around this morning - villagers exchanging knowing looks and smiling at each other.
We are a tough old lot.

News from Waterworld

This morning the water was 43 paces from our road and at 4pm it was 44 paces.

Now? At 1130pm it was 49 paces away.

I think the appropriate football chant to shout at the water is;

“You’re not singing

 You’re not singing

 You’re not singing anymore!”

If I’m well enough, if the flood is no worse, if….

I will be enjoying this on Saturday;

Billed as a night of "Pure Punk Rock Heaven", does anyone remember where the image comes from? (No googling now).
